Conan Wade Magilke, 51, of Lampasas died May 6, 2020.

A private family service was held May 13 at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan, North Dakota. Inurnment took place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held in Lampasas on May 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at 6443 East U.S. Highway 190. All who knew him are invited to attend.

Conan was born to Kenneth and Carol "Susie" Magilke on Dec. 31, 1968.

On May 2, 1992 he married Angela Fields.

After finishing high school, Conan served in the United States Army. After the Army he went to work as a heavy equipment operator, then for OMI, in the city of Lampasas, and then for Lampasas County.

His hobbies included restoring old vehicles, attending car shows, tractor rides with his grandkids, going on cruises, playing board games, puzzles, crafts, anything that meant being outdoors, and building model cars.

Conan is survived by his wife Angela; his children Cody (Angie) Mosbrucker, Rodger (Tricia) Magilke, Stetson (Erica) Magilke, Ty (Rebecca) Magilke, and Mercede Magilke; his grandchildren Kyle, Cameron, Madison, Hailey, Easton, Ryder, Braxton, Paiden, Elii, Bryce, Jordyn, Raelynn, and Ashlyn; his father, Kenneth Magilke; brothers Kenten (Lisa) Magilke, Junior Magilke, Monte (Tammy) Magilke, and Dusty Magilke; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Conan was preceded in death by his mother, “Susie” Magilke; one brother, Randall Magilke; and a nephew Nevada Magilke.

Memorials be made sent to Weigel Funeral Home for a trust Conan set up for his grandchildren.
