David Karlton Dawson, 72, was born Dec. 13, 1946 in Brady, and he died Feb. 2, 2019, in College Station.

David graduated from Lampasas High School in 1965 and moved to Marble Falls in 1995.

He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Dorothy; sons Barry Dawson, Brian Dawson and Karl Dawson, and daughter Katherine Wilkinson and their spouses; and 10 grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lela Dawson; brother Dorman Havins; and grandson Conner Dawson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at David’s parish home, St. Paul the Apostle Church, 201 Dalton Circle, Horseshoe Bay, TX. Hillier Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Gwendolyn was an expert quilter and enjoyed all crafts. She also was a seamstress and crocheted many baby blankets. She was a master gardener and could grow anything. She loved Christmas decorations and having family get-togethers.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Runyon (Jeff), Reba Wolfe (Lewis) and Pam Beaty (Richard); two sons, Ronald Watson (Etta) and Jason Watson (Shera); 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaughter, Kaylie Denise Beaty; and by three brothers, Roger, Comer and Larry Bonds.
