Olen Wayne Dalton, 93, of Lampasas died June 11, 2018 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on June 23 at 10 a.m.

Mr. Dalton was born May 31, 1925 in Borden County, Texas to the late Ollie (Hood) Dalton and Harvey Dalton.

In his early years Mr. Dalton was a carpenter. He later worked at Mobil Service Station in Lampasas in the 1950s.

He and his family rebuilt their lives after losing their home in the 1957 Lampasas flood. He then started a career in pest control. He retired from Orkin and opened his own business, D&D Pest Control, in 1984 in Lampasas.

He retired at the age of 84.

Mr. Dalton was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved WWE wrestling, the bald eagle, the United States military and Fords, his family and his little dog Misty.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and firstborn son, Doyle Wayne Dalton.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gerri Dalton; five children, Sissie Dalton-Orr (Mike), Jesse (Melody), Clifford, Vernon, and Harvey (Wendy) Dalton; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
