Kenneth Lee Bench, 81, of Lampasas died May 13, 2020 at his residence.
Private family viewing will be held May 19, and a graveside service with full military honors will be conducted May 20 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Sneed Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
Kenneth was born Jan. 7, 1939 in Okmulgee to Lee O. Bench and Nora (Collins) Bench.
He was in the Air Force Reserve, then served in the U.S. Army for more than 21 years. He was a bug exterminator for many years after his military career.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved playing musical instruments.
Kenneth is survived by his sons Leeon Bench of Canyon Lake and Simon Bench (Elizabeth) of Fort Worth; daughters Holly Shinn (Alan) of San Marcos and Shavon Bench of Canyon Lake; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Shivery of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee O. Bench Jr. and Mervin “Dutch” Bench; and by a sister, Neva Bench.
