Church of the Hills at 315 E. Railway St. in Lometa is a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week, which ends Monday.
Shoebox gifts for children overseas can be left at the church annex today through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 8-10 a.m. on Monday.
Local families have been busy transforming empty shoeboxes into fun gifts filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items. The shoeboxes will be distributed across the globe to children affected by war, disease, disaster, poverty and famine. For many of these children, it will be the first gift they have ever received.
