Lampasas ISD officials confirmed that Lampasas High School Principal Robert White is on indefinite leave as of Thursday evening.
Superintendent Dr. Chane Rascoe said Friday morning that White is “currently on leave for an undetermined amount of time."
Rascoe said he informed staff on Friday that, "If we do need an interim principal, it’s going to be Mr. Dick Parker...He's more than willing to step in.”
Parker currently serves in several administrative roles at LHS, including director of attendance and services related to special education. Parker had not officially been named Interim Principal as of Saturday morning.
Rascoe would not say at this time whether or not disciplinary action has been taken against White. He did say the issue had come up quite suddenly.
“It just happened late yesterday [Thursday],” Rascoe said.
White was hired as LHS principal in June of 2017.
