As of 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Lampasans no longer need to boil water before using it. The city has rescinded the boil-water notice it issued Monday.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the city to issue the boil notice after breaks were reported Monday afternoon in water mains on Old Convent Road and behind AdventHealth Rollins Brook.
"Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate [water] pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality of the water and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling," a city news release said Wednesday.
Those who have questions for city staff may call City Hall at 512-556-6831 or 512-556-8315.
Customers who wish to reach TCEQ may call 512-239-4691.
