With almost 700 yards of offense and an oppressive pass defense, Lampasas ripped Lago Vista 66-27 on the road Friday.

Junior quarterback Ace Whitehead topped the school record for career passing yardage held by current head coach Troy Rogers. Whitehead’s 294 yards raised his career total to 5,918 yards.

Jack Jerome scored half of the Badgers’ six rushing touchdowns, and Cade White intercepted two Viking passes.

Lampasas (2-0) jumped to No. 7 in Dave Campbell’s state rankings for 4A Div. I, Four Top-10 teams lost on Friday.
