The Lampasas County Museum’s annual Gingerbread House Contest will begin this week.
This year’s theme is “A Gingerbread Jamboree.”
“Let your imagination guide you when planning your gingerbread house,” museum officials said.
Gingerbread house entries will be accepted at the museum on Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
Judges will select winners in the following categories: children, ages 4- 12; young adults, ages 13-17; and adult/family, ages 18 and above.
The gingerbread houses will remain on display until Dec. 14 and need to be picked up from 2-4 p.m. that day.
The museum is located at 303 S. Western, between Second and Third streets.
Christmas Tree Contest
The museum’s annual Christmas Tree Display/Contest is ongoing until Dec. 14 as well. The trees are decorated to suit this year’s “A Gingerbread Jamboree” theme.
Museum visitors may vote for the trees they like best on Saturday during the Carol of Lights festivities.
The Christmas trees will remain on display at the museum through Dec. 14.
