LeeAnn Parker, far left, Shane Wolfe and Kirsten Richards qualified for the regional golf tournament. They are shown at their home course after finishing the 36-hole event.

Lampasas freshman LeeAnn Parker beat defending state qualifier Cheryl Gauthier of Liberty Hill in a one-hole playoff for the girls' district golf title. Parker and Gautier tied at 164 after the regular 36 holes of the tournament. A tie-breaker was held after round two Monday at Hancock Park Golf Course. Parker shot a four to win the playoff on Hole No. 1. Gauthier fell behind after her tee shot went out of bounds, and her next shot ended in a sand trap. Both players will advance to regionals.

Shane Wolfe also will advance to regionals as the Badgers' only male qualifier. Wolfe finished as the first-place individual, not counting golfers on the first- and second-place teams, which do not count toward the individual standings. Wolfe improved from an 82-stroke round one at Delaware Springs in Burnet, to a 76 on his home course on Monday.

Kirsten Richards earned the girls' second-place individual standing, shooting a 92 on both days.
