The Lampasas Badgers (10-1) beat the Brazosport Exporters 42-14 on Friday to claim their second straight bi-district football championship.

Lampasas will play the Gonzales Apaches (8-2) in the area playoffs Nov. 22 at The Pflugerville Pfield.

Ace Whitehead rushed for three touchdowns and threw touchdown passes to Cameron Everts and Brenton Webb. Daunte Cuffie also reached the end zone on a run play.

Lampasas led 21-7 at halftime. After giving up a score early in the third quarter, the Badgers finished with 21 unanswered points.

The playoff game, held in Buda, was a rematch of last year's bi-district contest, in which Lampasas beat Brazosport 42-35.

This year, the Exporters finished with a 6-5 record.
