Another water shut-off ahead

UPDATE: On Friday at 1:36 p.m., the city of Lampasas rescinded the boil water notice for Lampasas water users.  On Friday at 11:18 a.m., Kempner Water Supply Corporation officials issued a statement to answer questions received following the second line leak this week.

KWSC notifies of main line leak

Updates: At 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, city of Lampasas officials said work to repair the line was ongoing. “Repair work continues with excavators and welders on site. We currently do not have a time frame for completion; however, we should have a better idea of restoration in the next 2 to 3 hours.

KWSC issues boil water notice

Following a request for voluntary conservation yesterday due to water quality and availability concerns, the Kempner Water Supply Corporation issued a system-wide boil water notice on Tuesday morning. According to KWSC officials, as of 9 a.m., all customers are under a boil water notice.

Kempner Water Supply Corp requests conservation

In a notice issued Monday morning, Kempner Water Supply Corp. requested voluntary conservation due to “circumstances outside of our control.”In an alert issued just before 10 a.m., KWSC officials notified customers of a situation affecting the water supply and quality.

KWSC notifies of pressure loss

On Tuesday at about 8:30 a.m., Kempner Water Supply Corporation alerted members of a pressure loss issue affecting the north side of the water system. The cause of the loss in pressure is currently unknown, KWSC officials said.

KWSC notifies of main line break

Kempner Water Supply Corporation announced a break in a main line on Monday afternoon. In a message to members sent at 4:14 p.m., KWSC officials said construction crews in the area of Mattew Spicer Road struck and broke a water line, affecting water service to customers.

Boil water notice rescinded

Lampasas City officials have announced the boil water notice as rescinded as of 11 a.m. Friday. Results from water tests taken on Thursday came back as sanitary and safe for human consumption.
