Badgers set to finish non-district schedule at Lorena

Badgers looking to rebound against Lorena Leopards

After last week’s loss to Waco University, the Badgers will look to get back to their winning ways when they host the Lorena Leopards tonight on Badger Field. The Leopards are 1-3 this season, but Lampasas head coach Troy Rogers warned that record could be deceptive.

Badgers hitting the road for the first time this season

A Thursday game on the road, starting at 7 p.m., and played on a turf field are all new challenges the 2023 Lampasas Badger football team has not faced – until this week. At 3-0, the Badgers have had their best start to a season since 2020.

Tough second half leads to loss for the Badgers

Turnovers and struggles in the second half allowed the Canyon Lake Hawks back into a game the Badgers dominated for large portions. The eventual 34-30 loss came when the Hawks scored the game winning touchdown with under a minute to go and the Badgers couldn’t answer.

Subvarsity teams improve their records with wins over Marble Falls

The freshman Badgers improved to 7-2 last week with a 34-14 win over Marble Falls. Calum Mitchell connected on touchdown passes to Shawn Roberts and KJ Reed in the first half, according to coach Chance Evans. In the second half, Mitchell went back to Roberts with another score through the air.

Badgers take down the Ducks at home, move to 2-0 in district

Another strong defensive performance by the Badgers helped them on their way to a dominant 42-13 win over the Taylor Ducks Friday night at Badger Field. Both teams turned the ball over, but the Badgers were able to capitalize on the Ducks mistakes. The win puts the Badgers at 2-0 in district play.
