Subvarsity teams improve their records with wins over Marble Falls

The freshman Badgers improved to 7-2 last week with a 34-14 win over Marble Falls. Calum Mitchell connected on touchdown passes to Shawn Roberts and KJ Reed in the first half, according to coach Chance Evans. In the second half, Mitchell went back to Roberts with another score through the air.

Badgers drop first district game of the year to high flying Davenport

The first play from scrimmage in this game was a long touchdown run for the Davenport Wolves and that became a sign of things to come as the Badgers struggled to stop the quick attack offense of Davenport all night long.

Badgers take down the Ducks at home, move to 2-0 in district

Another strong defensive performance by the Badgers helped them on their way to a dominant 42-13 win over the Taylor Ducks Friday night at Badger Field. Both teams turned the ball over, but the Badgers were able to capitalize on the Ducks mistakes. The win puts the Badgers at 2-0 in district play.

Badgers dominate Burnet, start district 1-0

The Badgers rode a dominant second half to a convincing win over the Burnet Bulldogs Friday night. The Badger defense swarmed all night and kept Burnet to 7 points in the 24-7 win. See Tuesday’s edition of the Dispatch Record to read the full story. 

Hard fought loss to Wimberley puts Badgers at 3-2 after non-district play

Three takeaways and a late onside kick recovery were not enough for the Badgers in their battle with the Wimberley Texans Friday night. They could not catch the 17-point second half lead for the Texans and moved to a 3-2 non-district record. The Badgers will start district play in Burnet on Oct. 7.

Badgers move to 3-1 on the year after dominant win over Pflugerville Connally

Two blocked punts early in the game led to two quick touchdowns for the Badgers which they used to grow a 37-7 halftime lead. Lampasas would go on to finish the game off and win 44-13 over Pflugerville Connally.

Badgers hold on to early lead for win over East View

The Badgers jumped out to an early 21-3 lead in the first half of Friday's game against Georgetown East View. The Patriots fought their way back into the game, but Lampasas never gave up the lead, eventually winning 48-39.
