Badgers come up short in tough contest at Wimberley

The Wimberley Texans took a 45-21 win over the Badgers in their third game of the year, as Lampasas slipped to 1-2 in the nondistrict schedule. The Badgers started out hot after receiving the opening kickoff.

The Badger tennis squad had a great performance in its first district match of the season. Lampasas won the match 15-4 overall against Stephenville on the road.

Lady Badgers win close five-set match against Burnet

The Lady Badgers came out on top after a long, hardfought match against Burnet on Friday. The final score was 25-20, 31-29, 19-25, 15-25 and 15-10. Lampasas head coach Christy Wiley was very happy with her team’s performance. “This was a very intense and long match,” she said.

The Bertram Team Penning Club is set to have competition once again on Saturday at the Bar 17 Arena. Events are open to nonmembers and have classes for all ages and riding levels. The books for the competition will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
