Winner of Spring Ho Kiddie Fishing Derby brought in nearly 20 fish

The fishing event took place early in Spring Ho week.

    Last Wednesday, young anglers with cane poles lined both sides of the creek in W.M. Brook Park for the annual Spring Ho Kiddie Fishing Derby.The overall winner, based on the number of fish caught, was Roy Stewart with 19 fish.Stewart also won his 11to 12-year-old age division.In the 5-6 age group, Brooks Darden won with six fish.
