Hornets lose first game of the season at Richland Springs

Lometa’s football team suffered its first loss on Thursday, falling to the Richland Springs Coyotes 73-26. Although the Hornets were favored in the contest, mistakes cost them. Lometa turned the ball over four separate times. Richland Springs took the lead early in the game and never relinquished it. A pair of Coyote scores gave them a 14-point lead, before a safety pushed the advantage to 16. …
