A former Badger football and baseball player is going through a battle with cancer less than a year after graduating.
Eli Calderon was a multiyear letterman in both football and baseball and a four-year starter for the baseball team in Lampasas.
Recently, he underwent surgery for testicular cancer and has recovered well, according to the gofundme page.
Doctors also have found a 1.7-centimeter nodule in his lungs and a 1.1-centimeter nodule in his right external iliac lymph node in his abdomen.
