Basketball team kicks off season with first scrimmages

    The Badger basketball team began its season with scrimmages on Saturday against three different teams.

    Lampasas picked up wins in all three practice games: 23-19 over Canyon Lake, 36-21 over Brownwood and 15-7 over Savio.

    The first two matchups were played with a 20-minute running clock, and the final game was played as an eight-minute live quarter.
