Mrs. Wamsley

Joyce Wamsley, born on April 28, 1951, at Fort Hood, died peacefully on June 17, 2025, in Lampasas. Joyce was known for her kindness, strength and unwavering support to those around her.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on June 23 from 6-8 p.m.

Services will be held at New Covenant Church on June 24 at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Throughout her life, Joyce dedicated herself to her roles as a wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, David Wamsley, who shared many cherished moments with her throughout their journey; her children, son James David Rogers and his wife Veronica, and her daughter Jeri Michelle Rogers; her three grandsons, Ethan Rogers, Derek Rogers and wife Samantha, and Aidan Vega; her granddaughter, Trinity Mangan and husband Donavon; as well as one greatgranddaughter, Emillee.

She also is survived by her sisters Dessa Yvonne Faubion and Rebecca Lee, and her stepbrother, Bobby Faubion. Together, they shared memories and experiences that shaped their lives and strengthened their familial bonds.

Joyce’s warm spirit and nurturing nature enriched the lives of her family. She leaves a legacy of compassion and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
