Sophia Herrera Torres, 60, died on Oct. 13, 2024, in Lampasas.

Born on Jan. 29, 1964, Sophia spent her life in the place she always called home, graduating from Lampasas High School.

Sophia was a cherished member of her family, known in the community for her creative spirit and love for crafting, especially making wreaths and greeting cards. She had a lifelong passion for the Dallas Cowboys, listening to George Strait and Tejano music, and enjoyed watching movies.

She leaves behind a family that includes her daughters Davina Deanda and Raven Bilicki; grandchildren Kolby McSherry, Olivia Deanda, Canon Deanda and Gracen Deanda; greatgranddaughter, Ivaley McSherry; and her sisters Stephanie Ricupati and Eleanor Torres.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Faustino and Mary Torres; brothers Rene, Diego and Faustino Torres Jr.; and her husband, David Espinosa.

A gathering to honor Sophia’s life will be held at the Roy Burns Center in Eden, Texas, on Oct. 19 from 2-5 p.m.
