Charlotte Ann Groves McMillan, 80, died on April 1, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at Groves Z Bar Ranch Cemetery (1234 County Road 3700) on April 6 at 10:30 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Charlotte was born on July 30, 1943, to William Arthur Groves and Mary Edith (Edwards) Groves in Lampasas. She grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.

After high school, she attended the University of North Texas, where she received both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree.

She taught music for Lampasas ISD for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and making sure everyone was fed.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Groves; and a grandson, William Ryne Burklund.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Phillip McMillan; daughter, Lana Groves; sons Klint Groves and wife Doreen, and Grant Groves and wife Terry; a stepson, Eric McMillan; a sister, Shirley Stringer and husband Larry; grandchildren Holly Ann Shoemaker (Joey), Tyler Groves, Cody Groves, Sydney Groves and Heath Burklund; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
