Mrs. Harris

Dorthea “Dot” Latrylle Harris died on Feb. 11, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a longtime resident of Bedford, and a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, greatgrandmother and aunt.

Dot was born in Cooper, Texas, on Dec. 21, 1935. She attended Lampasas High School and Tarleton State University.

Dot married the love of her life, Corrie Wayne “Sonny” Harris in Austin on March 31, 1956. They were married for 58 years until his death.

Dot was a housewife, a Realtor and later a Dallas Market sales rep. Her hobbies included painting, sewing and embroidery, as well as cooking and baking. She loved her family, friends and especially her pets, and enjoyed her volunteer time at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray Matthew and Robbie Corrine (Carroll) Mullican; husband, Corrie; and daughter, Suzanne Harris.

Dot is survived by her sons Kevin Harris and his wife Mona, and Ray Harris and his wife Cindy; grandchildren Clayton and his wife Rachel, Stephanie and her husband Lee, Alicia and her husband Cody, Zack and his wife Hailey, and Martin; a greatgranddaughter, Tess; her brother, Michael Mullican and his wife Barbara; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. March 6 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to either Wounded Warriors or Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
