Mr. Brown

Terry Wayne Brown, 69, of Temple died peacefully on Dec. 23, 2024 at Scott & White Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Terry was born to Harold and Eva Brown of Chilton, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco on Sept. 3, 1955.

Terry married Frances Wilson of Belton on Dec. 19, 1975, at First United Methodist Church in Belton.

He was the proud father to William Wilson Brown and Wesley Wilson Brown, and most-loving “Pops” to two grandchildren he cherished and adored.

Terry graduated from Evant High School in 1973 and went to work alongside his father and brothers in the family business, Harold Brown and Sons. Terry was an exceptional machine operator and stayed in the family business up until his death.

Terry’s life was enriched by deep love and companionship when he met and married Frances, who preceded him in death. They shared a mutual passion for life’s adventures, including rides across the country on their motorcycle, fishing for endless hours, camping and chasing around their grandchildren.

Hunting and fishing were more than just hobbies; they were the backdrop for building lifelong relationships and cherished memories, especially fishing. Whether competing in tournament series or sharing a serene day at the lake with his family, Terry found solace and excitement on the water.

Terry is survived by his children William and Brandee Brown and granddaughter Sophia Brown of Hutto, and Wesley Brown and grandson Noah Brown of Temple; brothers Rex Brown and Joe Brown; sisters-in-law Kathy Brown and Sharlyn Brown of Lampasas; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Brown.
