Auto club hosts its car races in Lometa

  • The Redliners Automotive Club held its Winter Nationals Blast Car Races March 11, hosted by Walt and Joann Birchfield in Lometa. Lunch was served, then the races began. Jace Wenger, pictured in front, won first place stock car. In back, from left, are Scott Carrigan, first place super stock car winner; Dave Arens, second place stock car; and Luke Mortensen, the extra driver for Jace, since the 11-year-old brought three cars to race at the event.
