Linda McAndrew died on Feb. 1, 2023, at the age of 72.
She was born in Bertram, resided in Monahans and finally settled in Lampasas, where she was a member of the Lampasas High School Class of ’68 and raised her three sons in this same community.
She began her employment working for the IRS, continued her career as a transportation assistant at Fort Hood and retired from this position in June 2013.
She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Emily Luvenia Guthrie and Ray Johnston.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Johnston; three sons, Steven Chad Ashworth, Shawn D. McAndrew and Justin L. McAndrew; two daughtersin- law, Anne Ashworth and Brooke McAndrew; and four grandchildren, Owen McAndrew, Jorden McAndrew, Emma Ashworth and Hope McAndrew.
A funeral service for Ms. McAndrew will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas at 11 a.m. Feb. 11, with visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Tobey Cemetery in Burnet County.
