The Lometa FFA Livestock Show offered competition Dec. 10 for cattle, goat, sheep and swine exhibitors.
Bretton Strickland served as show judge.
The event is considered a warm-up or practice event to help students gain experience before the Lampasas County show and major livestock shows get underway in the spring.
In the swine division, Piper Lindner took both grand and reserve champion honors. Senior showmanship went to Brandie Garcia, intermediate showman was Ella Montgomery, and junior showmanship was claimed by Cheyenne Butler.
Grand champion of the market goats was exhibited by Bryli Edmonson. Reserve honors were awarded to Hadley Kuhl. Casey Stevens earned the senior showman award, with Hadley Kuhl taking the honor for juniors, and Carson Ingalls named the intermediate showman.
The grand champion market lamb was shown by Bryli Edmonson, with Hadley Kuhl taking reserve champion and junior showman honors. Tramari Randles of the Killeen FFA was named the senior showmanship winner.
In breeding goat competition, Casey Stevens showed the grand champion, while Mason Luna had the reserve champion and was named intermediate showman. Senior showmanship recognition went to Shayla Severance, and Carly Brister earned junior showman honors.
Jace Stewardson showed the grand champion breeding heifer, and Luna Holleman had the reserve champion entry.
Jack Stewardson took home both grand champion and reserve honors in the market steer division. Senior cattle showmanship went to Jewel Groves. Jack Stewardson was named the intermediate showman, and Jace Stewardson took the junior showmanship award.
