Rachel Dawn Mae Swope Gill was born Dec. 21, 1976, and she died Dec. 2, 2022.
Rachel was a 21-year Army wife to her husband, Mickey Gill. She was a mother of four and a doting “YaYa” to one grandson.
Rachel had a smile that could light up a room. She loved her family, animals and enjoyed creating something beautiful. Throughout her life, she was unapologetically herself.
She was preceded in death by her father, James H. Swope, and by nephews James K. Shackelford and Jeremy R. Ayers.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Mickey Gill of Kempner; children Christopher Swope of South Carolina, and Korbin Gill, Willow Gill and Piper Gill, all of Kempner; grandson, Aiden Swope of South Carolina; her mother, Wilda Swope of Arlington; sisters Robin Rosales and husband Ernie of Bastrop, Patricia Deal and husband Jesse of Pittsburg, Texas, Valerie Cook and husband Kenneth of Arlington, and Tracy Swope of Lumberton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
