Jo Lea McBride, 66, died on Nov. 24, 2022, at her home in Round Rock.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m., with a visitation an hour prior.
Jo Lea was born on July 22, 1956 in Lampasas to Dale and Jennene (Hatfield) McBride. She grew up in Lampasas and graduated in 1974 from Lampasas High School, where she was head cheerleader, Miss LHS, Homecoming Queen and class treasurer.
After high school, she moved to Austin and began work as a customer service representative for Southwestern Bell, where she retired after 30 years.
Jo Lea had vibrant energy and a caring soul. Her children were her most cherished accomplishment. She enjoyed beach trips, traveling and spending time with her grandkids.
Jo Lea was preceded in death by her father, Dale McBride, and mother, Jennene Munn.
Survivors include her son Drew (Heather) Davis of Pflugerville; daughter, Jenna (Bryant Simmons) Wilks of Pflugerville; brother, Terry (Cathy) McBride of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren Kaden, Kayla, Devin, Riley, Dlaney, Jalea, Bryten, AJ and Brennan; and nieces, BethAnn, Stella and Lilly.
