Cody Milam, 30, of Purmela died on Sept. 16, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 24 at Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church, 8727 West U.S. Highway 84 in Gatesville, with the Rev. Max Gunn officiating. Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville has charge of arrangements.
Cody Clayton Doc Milam was born on Aug. 25, 1992 in Fort Worth and grew up in Lometa. He worked hard as a cowboy at various ranches in the Central Texas area.
He was a member of Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church in Gatesville. He was loved by his friends and community, and was known as a good father and “Uncle Coco.”
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tani Williams and Jessie Williams; and a grandmother, Jaci Humble.
Cody is survived by his mother, Jess Day of Bangs; father, Rick Milam of Wellston, Oklahoma; children Hagen Milam, Hondo Milam and Haize Milam; sisters Jamie Louthan and husband Johnny, KC Lorah and husband Chad, Shannon Milam, Melissa Knill and Sibyl Renteria; and numerous nephews and nieces.
