The city of Kempner will hold a public hearing Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 12288 U.S. Highway 190, to present its budget and tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year.
Officials have proposed setting the city tax levy at $0.2449 per $100 in property value – the same total tax rate that was charged in this current year.
