The report from the Aug. 17 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves:
Total cattle 574, compared to 796 last sale and 648 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, stockers were steady, and feeder steers and heifers were $3-$5 higher. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 67 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 33 percent.
