Lois Rogers, 97, of Lampasas died on Aug. 14, 2022. She was born on July 17, 1925, in San Saba.
Services will be private. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
Lois was a mother and homemaker, and she cherished her grandchildren and taught them much. They loved the french toast she made for them after school. She taught them how to cook a few things and how to sew, and even the boys got to sew. She always sang 'You Are My Sunshine” to them.
Lois also loved animals and did all she could to save them from harm.
She sold Avon for many years and won awards for her efforts. She also worked for Pete Ramsey for a couple of years and with George Crawford and Cliff Tidwell.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Duglis, two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her son, Larry Rogers, and wife Joyce; daughter, Glenda January, and husband Ronnie; sister, Johnney Smith; grandchildren Tracy January, Chad January and Deeanne Howard; great-grandchildren Kailie Phelan, Tyler Phelan, Presli Vandestreek, Michael January and Cort Howard; a niece, Lavern Burk; and numerous great-greatgrandchildren.
