Gordon Wiley Holloway Jr., 79, of Lampasas died in his home on Aug. 12, 2022.
Wiley was born Aug. 12, 1943 in Aubrey, Arkansas to GW Holloway Sr. and Lula Mae Holloway. He was born and raised in the same home until he married in 1962.
He went to high school in Aubrey, where he graduated third in his class. He played basketball and worked for the school by driving a school bus.
Wiley married JoAnn McKinney in September 1962. They had two daughters, Tammy and Cheryl.
In 1971, the family made the big move to Texas due to Wiley getting a job with the Santa Fe Railroad.
He had been active at First Baptist Church in Lampasas since moving to Texas.
Wiley was preceded in death by his older daughter, Tammy Michele Gadsby, and his only sister, Betty Gannon.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Holloway; daughter, Cheryl Feighner (Terry); granddaughters Heather Romine, Kaylee Ybarra, Gabrielle Feighner and Devon Feighner; greatgrandchildren Josslyn, Tucker, Cody, Kemry and Easton; and several nieces and nephews.
