Ann Louise (Rathman) Hughes died June 17, 2022 at Caraday of Lampasas. She was 91.
Graveside services will be held at Kempner Cemetery in Kempner on June 27 at 10 a.m. Heritage Funeral Home of Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
Ann was born Dec. 29, 1930 in Burnet County to Robert Bartel Rathman and Mamie Marie Smith Rathman. She lived most of her life in Kempner and Lampasas.
She was married to Thurman H. Hughes.
Ann graduated from Lampasas High School in 1948.
She retired from civil service after 30 years as a management analyst at Fort Hood.
Ann was a volunteer at Rollins Brook Hospital for 17 years and with Kempner Cemetery Association. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Hughes (Beverly) and T. Don Hughes (Suzanne) of Kempner; and two grandchildren, Cody Hughes of Harker Heights and Skyler Hughes of San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman; brothers Mike Rathman and John Rathman; sister, Fay Mullins; and daughter-in-law, Martha Hughes.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas, Kindred Hospice or Kempner Cemetery.
