Interim Police Chief and third-generation law enforcement officer Jody Cummings officially was named Lampasas police chief Monday night during a meeting of the Lampasas City Council.
“Daddy tried,” Cummings joked.
His father, Fred Cummings, suggested he not take up a career in law enforcement, preferring that Jody get a business degree instead.
