Mr. Tucker

William Noel Tucker, 66, of Lampasas died at his home in May 2022.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1955 in Abilene to William Hudson and Shelby Laneta (Hobbs) Tucker.

William was a musician and played the guitar. His favorite guitarist was Dimebag Darrell, and he was an avid fan of Pantera, the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Lamb of God. He was a comedian, a hippie, a Cowboys fan, and enjoyed watching “Ancient Aliens,” Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” and any other program involving conspiracy theories and astrophysics.

He loved being a grandfather and loved children and babies.

William’s survivors include his mother, Laneta Tucker of Sand Springs; son, Tanner Tucker and fiancé Cara of Belton; daughter, Starla Rodriguez and husband Rene of Deer Park; brother, Danny Tucker of Sand Springs; sisters Connie Carter of San Angelo and Sheryl Tucker Childers of Sand Springs; and grandchildren Deshaun, Mariah, George, Leniyah and Jayden.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held later in Belton.

Mr. Tucker will be cremated. Heritage Funeral Home of Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
