Recent tornadic activity near Salado serves as a reminder to Central Texans that the severe weather season is here.
To help residents be prepared, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has announced that certain items can be purchased tax-free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins this weekend at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and ends at midnight on Monday.
