David Brian Denning, 61, of Kempner died at his home on April 9, 2022.
He was born Jan. 17, 1961 in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Elwood and Rose Marie (Curry) Denning.
He met Judith Petersilge in his hometown, and they married Nov. 20, 1979.
David had a lifelong career in telecommunications.
The things he loved the most were his wife and children with whom he shared his love of the outdoors, whether it was on an open road on his Harley Davidson, salmon fishing in Alaska or hunting with his son and grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Denning; son, Charles (Carrie) Denning; daughters Shelly (Christopher) Denning-Harris, Mary (Rondal) Barger-Lineberger and Wendy (Aaron) Roberts-Weeks; grandchildren Tyler (Savannah) Harris, Mason Harris, Jennifer (Will) Davis, Paisley and Ruger Weeks; great-grandchildren Clayton and Carter Harris, Ashtyn, Addison and Aaryn Friedlander, and Audrianna and Austyn Davis; and siblings Sheila (Bill) Nation, Joyce Denning, Brad (Velory) Denning, Todd (Nikki) Denning and Jeff (Rose) Denning.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ronald, Jay, Leelan and Bruce Denning.
His remains will be put to rest in Alaska, which he believed was the closest thing to heaven on earth. Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
