The report from the April 6 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 963, compared to 504 last sale and 503 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers were $3-$5 lower, and heifers were $3-$5 higher. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were $2-$4 lower.
Feeder cattle accounted for 86 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 14 percent.
