Council announces notice of intent to issue $6.5M in debt

    At an upcoming April meeting, the Lampasas City Council will discuss the possible issuance of $6.5 million in certificates of obligation to fund for several city projects. TEXEAS COMPTROLLER OFFICE

    The Lampasas City Council is considering the issuance non-voter-approved debt, also known as certificates of obligation, for city infrastructure and public safety projects.

    A vote is planned for April 25 during the council’s regular meeting at 6 p.m.

    At $6.5 million, these certificates of obligation could be issued to pay for upgrading the city's wastewater plant, the Hostess House, the Jack Calvert…
