The report from the March 2 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 460, compared to 302 last sale and 435 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $2-$4 lower. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 higher, and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 87 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 13 percent.
