The Badgers started their district basketball schedule the right way – by picking up a tight win over the Stephenville Yellowjackets, 59-56.
The game required an overtime period to secure the victory.
The Badgers led 25-22 at halftime after a close opening two quarters in which the score seesawed back and forth.
The Yellowjackets outscored the Badgers, however, 19-15 in the third quarter.
