The Oct. 20 Lampasas Cattle Auction report follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 742, compared to 730 last sale and 501 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $3-$5 higher. Slaughter cows were $2-$4 lower, and slaughter bulls were $1-$3 higher.
Feeder cattle accounted for 84 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 16 percent.
