The report from the Sept. 22 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 725, compared to 728 last sale and 389 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $7-$10 lower. Slaughter cows were $1-$3 lower, and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 81 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 19 percent.
