Kempner City Council picks Dan Long as mayor pro tem

With a unanimous vote last week, Place 4 Kempner City Councilman Dan Long was named the city’s second in command.
This action comes after the resignation of former mayor pro tem and Place 2 Councilman Jared Jones, who cited complications with his Army chain of command as he transitions into becoming a military officer.
