The report from the Aug. 18 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 648, compared to 484 last sale and 663 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were steady. Slaughter cows were $1-$3 higher, and slaughter bulls were steady to $2 higher.
Feeder cattle accounted for 69 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 31 percent.
