A bill passed by the Texas House offers the possibility of rectifying broadband service issues in places like Lampasas County.
House Bill 3853 passed on April 27 with 147 yea votes, two absent and one abstention. The bill allows utility companies to offer excess capability to internet service providers through a tactic called middle mile broadband.
