Martell ready for final stand in high school wrestling
Mia Martell is scheduled to compete in the first round of state wrestling at 11:30 a.m. April 24 against Burleson Centennial’s Brijatte Garcia. Martell placed third in the 165 class at regionals and is the only Lady Badger to advance to state in the four-year history of the program.
Garcia was the Region II runner-up. The UIL wrestling site lists the freshman’s record at 19-4.
