County Judge Randy Hoyer has lifted the county’s burn ban until May 7 at 5 p.m. As a result, at press time Thursday, controlled outdoor fires were allowed outside Lampasas, Kempner and Lometa city limits.
The judge may put the ban back in effect if weather conditions create a wildfire risk. To verify the burn ban status, visit www.co.lampasas.tx.us.
